Vacancy Programming

Who are we?

The Brabantsedag is a well-known event in Brabant, throughout the Netherlands and even beyond. What once started on a small scale in 1958 now attracts more than 30,000 visitors each year, culminating in its highlight: the towering, rolling theatre parade on the last Sunday of August.

Of course, the Brabantsedag revolves around the theatre parade on the last Sunday of August — but there’s more. Around that day, all kinds of activities take place. Bands, street theatre, dance, drama, performances at various locations in Heeze, and a warm welcome for thousands of visitors.

The Programming working group is responsible for creating this complete experience. And we are looking to strengthen our team.

What do we do?

The Programming working group works throughout the year on putting together the programme across various locations in Heeze. Our main goal: to ensure that visitors can fully enjoy themselves before and after the main parade.

What will you do?

The working group meets regularly throughout the year in Heeze. During these meetings, we:

  • search for suitable bands and performances
  • maintain contact with booking agencies
  • think about the concept and atmosphere of the different locations
  • develop creative ideas into concrete plans

You contribute ideas, take on tasks and help turn concepts into reality. Creative, hands-on and with a strong sense of atmosphere.

Who are we looking for?

Someone who:

  • is creative and dares to think up new plans
  • is practical and enjoys getting things done
  • gains energy from working together
  • has a sense of humour
  • wants to contribute to an event that Heeze is proud of

What’s in it for you?

The Brabantsedag is made possible by thousands of volunteers. Team pride, fulfilment, returning visitors and the big smiles on the last Sunday of August — that’s our reward. If you are active on the event day itself, we of course provide food and drinks.
