The Brabantsedag is a household name in Brabant, the Netherlands and even beyond. What once started small in 1958 now attracts more than 30,000 visitors annually, during the high point: the towering, rolling theater parade on the last Sunday of August. The esteemed volunteers of the Brabantsedag Foundation are the achievers. They work very hard within the working groups, such as Catering, Technology, Safety, Marketing & PR and much more.
One of the working groups is Programming. As the name says: they take care of the total programming of artists and acts at the various locations in Heeze. Throughout the year, the working group is busy looking for suitable bands, street theater, dance, theater, etc. The most important goal: ensuring that the audience can enjoy themselves to the fullest before and after the big theater parade.
In addition, this working group is also working on the hospitality around the entire event: informing guests about venues, the parade, facilities for the disabled and much more. For the visitor, the Brabantsedag should be a day out with a total experience; that's what we call it. For this workgroup we are looking for volunteers who are willing to contribute!
The working group Programming meets once a week in Heeze. Then the ideas are launched, tasks are divided and progress is discussed:
- Searching for nice bands and acts
- Contacts with booking agencies
- Shaping the various locations
- Improve hospitality
- Creative thinking in new plans, etc.
The Brabantsedag is made complete by several thousands of volunteers. Team pride, satisfaction, returning visitors and the big smiles on the last Sunday of August are our 'salary'. If you are active during that day, we will of course provide you with a snack and a drink.
Is this volunteer job for you or do you have any questions? Please contact Gerda Cobben (secretariat Brabantsedag) quickly, mentioning: vacancy Programming
