Be surprised and amazed by the biggest theatre parade of the year!

Come watch and enjoy, be surprised and amazed by the biggest theatre parade of the year! On the last Sunday in August, 16 house-high theatre sets and 2,000 actors parade through the centre of Heeze (below Eindhoven) in Brabant.

What started in 1958 as a simple procession of farm carts has grown into a true spectacle unlike any other. The biggest theatre parade of the year attracts 40,000 visitors from all over the Netherlands every year.

On Sunday morning, the village slowly fills up and the public can enjoy plenty of entertainment, music and street theatre prior to the parade. From 13:30, the immense structures roll past the audience in the two-hour-long theatre parade. This is enjoyment with a big G. Visitors will be captivated by expressive or subdued theatre. Seriousness and comedy, reality and fantasy alternate and bring the past of the Duchy of Brabant to life.

Children also thoroughly enjoy the parade. The youngest spectators (up to 12 years of age) have free access to the event. This makes the Brabantsedag a day out for the whole family and the perfect end to the summer holidays!
