CHILDREN SHOW HOW WELL THEY CAN WORK TOGETHER, DESIGN AND BUILD.
The parade of the Brabantsedag is the largest theater parade of the year and has existed for over 63 years. The Brabantsedag is in the DNA of the people of Heezen and the feeling of being a wagon builder is therefore poured into their veins. It is therefore logical that there is also a children's parade. A real theater parade on which our youthful builders work during the summer months: they design and build the wagon themselves, usually at the construction sites of the wagon building groups, right next to the big wagons.
The Children's Parade is also the cradle for the new designers, dressmakers, sound technicians who later, when they grow up, will undoubtedly also contribute to the large Brabantsedag parade.
On the Saturday evening of the opening festivities, the Brabantsedag children's parade moves through the streets of Heeze. Of course, there are real float-building signs, there is a large crowd, there are parade escorts, and all participants receive a souvenir shield, exactly like the big theater parade of the Brabantsedag. The Children's Parade is also in terms of enthusiasm, creativity and craftsmanship not inferior to the large theater parade: this is the future of the Brabantsedag!
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
All children between the ages of 6 and 14 are challenged to design their own idea within the theme "With Verve". You may do this alone, with your brother (s) or sister (s), with friends or classmates, with cousins or with teammates. You do not have to be a member of a float group, but you can be. Children from 0 to 6 years old may also participate, but only if accompanied by a parent.
WHERE IS IT?
The children's parade starts from the parking lot near the Martinus church (at D'n Toversnest).
The route goes from Toversnest via Jan Deckersstraat, Schoolstraat and Pastoor Somershof, along the Nicasiushuis, so the grandparents can also enjoy, and then via the Spoorlaan to the garden! Along the route there will be a lot of public and in the town hall garden all participants will be festively welcomed by all wagon building groups.

The Children's Parade will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 7:00 pm.
