HEEZE – After eight years, writer and Dutch language expert Wim Daniëls is stepping down as a Brabantsedag ambassador.
Since 25 June 2018, he has supported the unique event in Heeze with great dedication, contributing to an event where language, tradition and storytelling come together.
For many years, Wim Daniëls has been a familiar face at the Brabantsedag. As a passionate advocate of the Dutch language, he assisted several float-building groups with their texts and with the use of the Brabant dialect.
He also preferred to experience the parade among the spectators, allowing him to soak up the atmosphere and fully enjoy everything that makes the Brabantsedag so special.
Through his many other activities, Daniëls will continue to promote Brabant's cultural heritage, including through his books, lectures and his work on the television series Het Dorp and Nederland op Film.
With great admiration for the event and everyone involved, he now bids farewell to his role as Brabantsedag ambassador.
