Brabantsedag gets a 9! (visitor research)

Visitor research during the 61st Brabantsedag last year:

Brabantsedag gets a 9

HEEZE - Visitors of the Brabantsedag give the annual experience on the last Sunday of August in Heeze a 9 as a mark. This is shown by the third visitor survey in 2018 during the 61st Brabantsedag.

The survey * shows that 84% of the visitors come from Noord-Brabant. Among them many guests from the places that the car builders had chosen. The average age of the visitor is 48 years and 18% of the visitors visited the Brabantsedag for the first time in 2018. These results are in line with the previous visitor surveys.

Besides the theatre parade, the best visitors like the atmosphere and Brabant cosiness. The solidarity of the village, the car makers and the organization and the entertainment around the theatre parade (music and street theatre) also score positive.

The renewed set-up of the Brabantsedag - a complete one-day experience with Sfeer&Smaakpleinen around the largest theatre parade of the year - was well received. Visitors appreciate the performances, entertainment and catering on the various atmospheric squares and the music and street theatre on the route.

The response also reveals points for improvement. The large gaps between the wagons and the pulling speed of last year's parade naturally have the full attention of the organisation. Head of Parade Frank van Lierop: "Unfortunately, technical defects can never be completely ruled out, but the organisation and car builders are working hard to ensure that the parade will run smoothly through the village in 2019".

Comments from visitors about, among other things, the checkout posts, (the clarity of) the stand numbering and seats next to the track will also be taken into account and evaluated.

Many respondents also took the trouble to put a personal message on the survey form. They particularly praised the involvement and conviviality of young and old in Heeze.

* About the visitor survey: A short questionnaire has been added to the form for the HWV public prize. Of the 3,500 forms distributed, almost 1,800 were returned filled in; a representative response of more than fifty percent.
