Actor Mike Weerts new Brabantsedag ambassador

HEEZE - Actor and quartermaster Mike Weerts is one of the new ambassadors of the Brabantsedag. Ambassadors of the Brabantsedag are BN'ers and BB'ers (Well known Brabanders) with a warm connection to Brabantsedag Heeze. They carry the Brabantsedag in their hearts and promote the theater parade in Heeze whenever they get the chance.

Mike Weerts (Overloon, March 24, 1982) is a Dutch actor who once started in the soap opera Onderweg naar Morgen and nowadays plays in TV series, plays and musicals. He also works as a voice actor for cartoons and sometimes voices radio commercials. In terms of films and television series, he has appeared in, for example, De bende van Oss, Het Bombardement, Moeder, ik wil bij de revue and Voetbalvrouwen. In the theater Mike Weerts has also played major projects and roles. He played in the musical Petticoat and played Dick Vledder in the show Baantjer.

Mike Weerts is also quartermaster at the Eindhoven public broadcaster Studio040. There he will give an impulse to the further growth, professionalization and renewal of Studio040.

Brabant, the history of Brabant, the Brabant feeling, our traditions, I have always held it in high regard and my heart goes out to it. Being an ambassador for the Brabantsedag is therefore a task I am very proud of. I will do my utmost to show everyone how grand and impressive the theater parade is in Heeze', says an enthusiastic Weerts.

Other ambassadors include the Queen's Commissioner Ine Adema, Mayor Paul Verhoeven, Olympic and World cycling champion Marianne Vos, author Wim Daniëls, Rector Magnificus of Tilburg University Wim van de Donk, PSV Director Toon Gerbrands and musicians Björn van der Doelen and Gerard van Maasakkers.
