Heeze-Leende Municipality and Brabantsedag Foundation sign a four-year agreement

On April 3, Mayor Heldens of the municipality of Heeze-Leende and Boukje van Ettro from the board of the Brabantsedag Foundation signed an agreement valid for the years 2024 through 2027. This agreement confirms the long-standing and productive cooperation between the two parties.

The Brabantsedag has been an iconic event since 1958 and has been included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list since May 2013. The Brabantsedag attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually.

Mayor Heldens explains: "A third of the residents are involved as participants and/or volunteers, resulting in strong social cohesion and a close bond among the inhabitants, young and old alike. Something we are incredibly proud of as a municipality!"

The agreement signed this week establishes multi-year commitments that are crucial for such a large-scale event. This includes the municipality's guarantee for safety and traffic measures, the municipal subsidy to help make this event possible, promotional activities, and support for float builders and other volunteers.

With this agreement, the Heeze-Leende municipality and the Brabantsedag Foundation emphasize their dedication to preserving this unique event.
